I'm not much of a thread digger but I did ask for this before. Gaile was ever so kinda to post in that thread and she stated:

"The mechanics for the hero system aren't setup for more than 3 Heros. (Flags and such I guess)

Then I just left it alone. Threads like these fall on dead ears.

Boreas Seabed in normal mode is easy with 2 peeps and 6 heroes, even with 8 mesmer's we did it in 12 minutes. In hard mode I have not tried it, not really interested in hard mode except for faction farming in Arborstone.

I would love to be able to use 7 heroes, but I still often do PuG's for the fun of it and the delightful uncertainty of PuG. Heisenberg has nothing on PuG's.

An all Hero party would be awesome. I enjoy gaming with real folks as well but pretty much only guild mates or friends. As for PUGS ..... honestly I say I could care less about them. 95% of any experience I have had in any PUG has been absolute junk / garbage. You wait for.... OMG , no we must have two monks and one with build " Y " and the other with " X " build or OMFG we need a SV necromancer we can't win without one and all this takes what 1/2 hr or more just to assemble a party and then you have to put up with annoying players and god forbid someone rage quits

No I think I'd much rather have heros or guild mates and save my time rather then wasting it in PUGS so being able to use more of them would be awesome. If folks want to PUG more power to you but the only deceit PUG groups I've ever had any success with have been guild or alliance groups and 95% of the time I can usually whip the mission after adjusting the hero teams I current have.

Don't care one way or the other. Henched every Prophecies mission and most of Factions (before heroes) Protector of all three continents and Legendary skill hunter are a breeze with just 3 heroes (and henchies). If you have just one friend to party with you can fill up with 6 heroes.

I don't need 7, but would probably use them if they were available.

Takes me anything from 30min to 2 hours to get in a group and sort out skills and stuff and then argue whats what grrrrrrrrrrrrr
I just wanna PLAY not piss fart around.

WHY don't anet have a weekend event to test this idea and get the community's response and feedback?
As they say they listen to us the community but it is not always a given they will act on it.

No, really, the people that oppose to having 7 heroes and think the henchmen are any good suck. Only the henchmen in GW:EN are good. The ones in NF are average, and anyone that thinks the monk henchmen in Cantha are any good is an idiot.

Another reason, I would like to do the missions in hard mode but it is near impossible to get 1 other person let alone a couple. And I better hope that other person has heroes otherwise I have to wait for anohter.

I work 2pm-10pm est. This leaves the morning hours and super late night hours to play. Getting pugs for "the deep" has me waiting for 30mins to an hour and I have yet to play the game.....and I have to go to the international district to get ppl? This should not be.

I avoid elite missions because of this waiting plus, if I dont have the skill set wiki says, im a noob.

ONe more: if i dont run a hb or zb build, im a noob. I have a woh build that works very and am very good at using it. Its just not on wiki so im a noob.

guildies are useless unless theres 100's of players on it because you have to do the mission or quest or farm everyone else is doing, not what you want to do. Im not here to make friends, but to have fun

Given any particular class, there isn't any single build that will work equally well in any area. Because of this, Henchmen are in fact flawed in their purpose as a static NPC that can be used in many different areas. Hero's, on the other hand, can be adapted by the player to work in every plausible situation if the player is already knowledgeable in the skills of the other classes.


In short:

Henchmen don't work as well as they could and it still takes skill to equip a hero appropriately.

Though I would also love to use 7 heroes because henchies are all kinds of useless, but you must understand WHY they wouldn't let you do that. That way you at least have to do what I usually do, and play with, at the very least, one friend. That way you're still being sociable, all while still getting to customize every inch of your build.

Just because you're playing with Heros, doesn't make you unsocial. I talk on AC/GC the most when I'm with Heros.

Would you suddenly stop playing with your friends because you can use 7 heroes? Of course not. But there will always be times when you're just going to end up taking heroes/henches. Simply letting us replace those henches with heroes (without any added controls) would stop the complaints about the poor skills used by certain henchies and it would give us a reason to use the new heroes once in a while.

There are zero real reasons not to be able to use 7 heroes.
It is just that simple.
I'd rather kill myself repeatedly than pug.
I've beaten all 3 games without pugging, just finished NF with a char from all 10 profs without pugging, went through the Gwen preview without any other people ever in my party.

I'm not going to pug. The only time I will ever have another human being in my party is if a guildie needs help.

This is a fairly valid point. I'm always on my guilds TS server, even when I am with heroes+henchmen. If someone "wants" to be social, they will be social. They will sit in town and try and talk to people, they will talk to guildies, they will call someone on the phone. If people want to be social, they will be. Adding in things that make people "need" to be social is bad, just like adding in things that "need" people to be anti-social, like solo quests. If people do not want to be social, why force them to be?

However, 7 heroes and one human player? Do you have any idea how overpowered that would be? They would have to add in another difficulty, harder than hard mode. 1/3/4 heroes+henchmen are better that people 90% of the time. I cleared ToPK with heroes+henchmen about 4 hours ago, first attempt. Imagine if 1/2 of my team wasn't gimped.

Ok, let us recap how guildwars works.
In the beginning, there were no heroes. People had to run with other people, and henchies. Pretty much everybody who hasn't beaten the game sucked right here.

Next, factions comes out, making it easier to get 200 attribute points and easier to get level 20. Now, you have less of an excuse for having a sucky build. And so everybody knows, elites don't make builds. A non-elite minion master build running bone fiends, vampiric horrors, and a bunch of skills such as BotM, Heal Area, Dark Bond, and Taste of Death can do pretty well.

Well, Nightfall comes out, and we get heroes. This almost eliminates the need for humans. The AI is good, they know some of the good skill combos, they can micro perfectly, there can't be a problem. Well, now you don't need human interaction.

Guildwars was based off the principle that you find humans to play with, then take henchmen if you needed to fill the space. This is why majority of the cities only have one of each kind of henchie, not multiple fighters for instance.

Most people can't seem to get it right. They bring many skills they don't need just to fill thier bar, not knowing that there are good background enchantments or stances that would make life million times easier. (Holy Haste Anybody?) If you run a noob build, we will laugh at you. It is part of the game. Even better, I'll give you my skype info. You call me, then I'll laugh in your face and tell you how big of a noob you are.


Now for those of you who can solo-run missions. Solo-farm the hardest drops. Do everything that Leet people can do, I bow to you. It is you who we place our hope, so don't feel afraid to put hope in us.

If they allower full party of heroes then HM would be what NM was before and NM would be piss easy.
